Listen

Al here. For your listening pleasure are a few tracks from my most recent CD, "The Fall of Man." I invite you to download and share them freely, until I'm really rich and need the money. Stay tuned, I'll add more later!

They are all in Mp3 Format:

Raise My Sail Of all my recordings, this is one of my favorites. It tells my story during the time when I realized I had been disillusioned with the life I had built for myself. I was learning to live in the present. I think this song sounds particularly beautiful.

Temple Door This song came about partly from knowing lonliness, and partly from my early exploration of tantric spirituality. I really had fun bringing in exotic instrumentation like sitar, tablas and even digeridoo.

Here are a few from my limited-run EP, "Jackass."

Left-Hand Ring Finger I wrote this song based on the theme of "body parts" -- an exercise for the Wordplay Songwriter Showcase which I used to host in Los Angeles. This song usually finds the audience grinning, and at by the end of the song, feeling very emotional.

It Was A Very Good Year originally done by Frank Sinatra... this is something completely different.

Tattoo On Your Back I performed this on my TV debut, Fox-TV's "Blind Date." The date kinda blew, but the song's kinda cool. Enjoy!

These are from my earliest CD, "Gift." Yep, you can download them too.

Born To Be Your Man

No Roses

Here are a couple of songs I played guitar on for Emily Tessmer. On bass and drums are Bruce Thomas and Davey Faragher from Elvis Costello's band. Pretty slammin' tracks, huh? If you want me to play on YOUR CD, let me know and maybe we can work something out!
